Pinpoint New Zealand

Pinpoint is a New Zealand company based in Nelson that offers the option of a compact and easy-to-use Solar VMS GPR unit. The unit is simple to install, and Pinpoint provides a knowledgeable and extensive customer support service.

Solar VMS / Hybrid VMS

This self-contained IP-67 waterproof solar-powered GPR solution is ideal for vessels with limited power sources. There’s no need for external cables or costly installations. Simply attach it to your vessel, and you’re ready to go. The optional Auto Port Mode automatically activates the GPR system when the vessel leaves port and reduces the GPR reporting frequency to once daily upon returning to port, thereby saving on unnecessary satellite reporting costs.

The Hybrid VMS is equipped with all the features found in entry-level Solar VMS, but offers an advantage of accepting a 12–24-volt charge from an external (ships) power source.

Both units can be paired to your eCatch Commercial reporting App to ensure the Port and Live modes are working effectively, and managed manually if required.

Every Pinpoint VMS in New Zealand includes a subscription to the Pinpoint Nexus tracking platform. Nexus allows a vessel’s location to be easily tracked from anywhere in the world. This service is accessible on both mobile devices and desktop computers.
